Introduce yourself! Share a little bit about who you are and what you do.

Hi I’m Emma, I’m a Wellbeing Coach and Holistic Practitioner. I am passionate about empowering people to reclaim their energy and find their joy.

I live in Leeds with my partner Andy and I am an avid crafter – crochet is my favourite at the moment, but I am always learning new skills, I love to cook and be creative.

Tell us about your journey! What led you to this point?

I began practising yoga regularly in 2015. When I stepped onto my mat that first time, I was a very different person to today. I was stressed, overwhelmed and had been suffering with chronic back pain for so long, I couldn’t remember not being in pain. All this meant that I wasn’t sleeping well and I was constantly turning to comfort food (especially sugar!), shopping and alcohol to support and distract me.

Yoga and mindfulness helped me to build strength and flexibility back into my body, then my mind. It helped me to tune into what feels good for my body and more importantly what doesn’t! I soon learned that sitting on chairs is one of the worse things for my back, which is why you often see me sitting on the floor!

I was hooked pretty much immediately and I’ve since found that yoga is beneficial to all parts of my life. The ability to manage pain and stress through regular yoga and meditation practice is transformational. In 2019 I decided to train as a yoga teacher, to deepen my personal practice, learn more and share this wonderful practice.

I started Wellbeing with Emma in 2021. Initially, I offered one yoga class per week online, this has grown and expanded over time. In December 2023 I left my corporate job, so that I could give this wonderful business all of my energy and create even more magic.

Through yoga I discovered Reiki healing and the powerful transformations it offers. I started to train in Reiki healing in 2020. Reiki has enabled me to deepen my meditation practice and protect and boost my energy levels. It has also enabled me to heal on a deeper level and in particular deal with self confidence issues and feelings of low self worth. 

I love to offer Reiki to others, supporting their healing journey and enabling them to learn more about their energy system. Energy work is such a privilege, in 2024 I start to train people in Reiki, supporting them to learn about this sacred practice, so that they can offer self-healing to themselves and healing to others.

In Summer 2021 I trained as a wellbeing coach. The training was transformational and I find coaching people to live more mindfully and be healthier and happier very fulfilling. 

It is a joy to see people blossom and become the best version of themselves.

All the energy work I have done led me to a love of crystals and the magical properties each has. I use them everyday to support me and my energy. In 2024 I qualified in Crystal Healing – a powerful energy healing which uses crystals to balance the energy system. 

And now, Wellbeing with Emma is my passion.


What does “wellbeing” mean to you?

For me, wellbeing means feeling like the best version of you. So it’s very individual and about giving you what you need.


Can you share a pivotal moment or experience that inspired you to start Wellbeing with Emma?

My healing journey began when yoga and mindfulness entered my life. But it was when I discovered Yoga Nidra and Restorative Yoga that things really started to change.

The first Yoga Nidra I ever practised blew me away. It’s extraordinary how rested you feel after just 20 mins. 

Taking nourishing rest regularly has now become a really important part of my wellbeing toolkit. It is one of the most important ways in which I care for my body, mind and soul. For me rest includes gentle, restful yoga practices and meditation, alongside energy healing – both self-healing and treatments with others.

This is why I’m passionate about supporting people to find practises that work for them. 


Can you tell us a little bit about your business?

I offer a wide range of holistic wellbeing practices both online and face-to-face. So if you feel like you need to prioritise yourself and your wellbeing I have a solution that will support you.

This includes wellbeing coaching, yoga, meditation, mindfulness, energy healing, Reiki training, retreats and holistic wellbeing packages. 

My Mission is to empower you to prioritise your wellbeing, and find balance in your life. I’ll meet you with kindness and empathy while challenging you when you need it.


What lessons have you learned when it comes to your wellbeing?

There’s so many! I’ve learnt that putting yourself first and prioritising what you need is NOT selfish, in fact it’s extremely important. For me often that means that I have to prioritise rest and set boundaries.

For me an important lesson was learning to be more mindful. It helps me with everything and enables me to be in tune with what my body, mind and soul need to stay healthy and well.


How do you prioritise your own wellbeing?

How long have you got!

It’s probably not surprising that I practise yoga and meditation pretty much everyday, along with self reiki most days to keep my energy flowing. I also work with crystals to support my wellbeing and do regular workouts to keep my body strong.

I try to eat and drink mindfully, which means I prioritise eating things that make me feel good most of the time, with little treats thrown in sometimes too.

Rest is probably the most powerful tool I use to support my wellbeing, particularly using restorative yoga and yoga nidras to help me rest. I also love attending things like sound baths and taking time to have treatments such as massages and reflexology.
