Let’s start with you. Tell us about yourself and the work you do?
Hi all! My name is Mark, what I do now in my life is a vocation, its not a job.
I really do love all aspects of what I do now …well maybe not the paperwork and self assessment parts 😉
I really try to do everything I can to help my clients, whether it’s more time with them, if I have extra time in between sessions or simply another modality or herbal supplement I think may help, I will gladly offer the advice.
Every founder has a story. What’s yours?
I struggled with insomnia, panic attacks & anxiety for years which became very acute whilst studying at university whilst studying Pharmacy.
I eventually sought help within the holistic field, being attracted by the non invasive holistic approach to help my anxiety, insomnia & depression.
Over time, this has had such a massive positive impact on my health and well-being, helping me come of medication completely.
I worked in Pharmaceutical Research & Development and eventually, the pull to follow my heart was too strong, I left the Pharmaceutical sector and trained in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy, Reiki, and Qigong.
Was there a particular moment that inspired you to become a wellbeing practitioner?
I simply could not stand working in the soulless corporate sector any longer and my intuition kept getting stronger until I had to make the leap!
For someone discovering your business for the first time, how would you describe what you offer and the difference it makes?
I offer Solution Focused Hypnotherapy, Reiki & Qigong. All are unique of course in their own right. The large bulk of my work is Solution Focused Hypnotherapy. I really have had such miraculous results with clients and it is so fulfilling, really it is!
I have seen amazing results such as helping clients become anti-depressant, tranquiliser & long term pain medication free (whilst under the supervision of their GP) and it is so fulfilling to witness their empowering journey in doing so.
It is very rewarding-helping people quit smoking and potentially helping to add years, decades maybe onto their life, there is no better feeling! Hypnotherapy never ceases to amaze me!
Reiki is more heard of now, although I mainly now offer this for regular clients and family/friends.
Qigong is getting in popularity, and so it should! I have tried Tai Chi, and find Qigong is much simpler while providing amazing benefits for mind, body and soul, its also thousands of years old, whereas Tai Chi is 400-700 years old.
My clinic is in Ossett, I also offer local call out and mobile for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy, Reiki, Qigong 1:1 teaching.
What does “feeling good” mean to you?

What does prioritising your wellbeing actually look like in real life?
I am a massive Empath and a triple earth sign so grounding myself in nature on a daily basis is a must! I love to practice Qigong in the forest too on a daily basis.
What would you say to someone who wants to feel better, to feel good, but doesn’t know where to begin?
What’s your favourite Yorkshire walk — and why?
This is a really hard one as I love hiking in the Yorkshire Dales! I would have to say Burnsall to Simons seat to Bolton Abbey and back. It has everything you can want, views, rivers, forestry, wildlife.
What’s next for you?
I am hoping to start to providing Qigong classes locally and I’m I’m contemplating getting a therapy dog for me and clients!
How can people connect with you and experience your work?
See my website www.redsagetherapies.com or simply drop me a message if you want a chat, I am always happy to help!
